Orthotic expertise built over more than 25 years
Le Hoan Prosthetics & Orthotics is led by Le Ngoc Hoan, MSc prosthetist–orthotist, part of the first cohort formally trained in prosthetics and orthotics in Vietnam who went on to international graduate study.

The professional journey

1997 – 2000
Completed the first prosthetics & orthotics technician course in Vietnam, sponsored by Germany, alongside 15 trainees from across the country and taught directly by German instructors.

2000 – now
Working at the Rehabilitation Centre, Bach Mai Hospital: fabricating prosthetic and orthotic devices hands-on and teaching rehabilitation courses.

2010 – now
Pursued international BSc, MSc and doctoral programmes in prosthetics & orthotics at Mahidol University, Bangkok — the first international courses of their kind in Southeast Asia.

Research & consulting
Published research in the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics; supervised theses on vacuum-assisted running prostheses; international consultant on prosthetic-device development projects and curriculum design for Vietnamese rehabilitation programmes.

- CPO – ISPO Category I certification (the highest standard of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics)
- 25+ years of clinical experience in prosthetics, orthotics and rehabilitation
